The Public Ministry of the Federal District and Territories organized the Fourth Brazil-Australia webinar for the prevention of violence against women, under the theme Women’s Police Stations and police interventions: innovations from the Global South.
Leila Linhares Barsted was one of the speakers and highlighted the Brazilian experience with the creation of DEAMS (special police stations to assist women) since 1980. The webinar was coordinated by Judge Adriana Ramos de Mello from ENFAM – National School for the Training of Magistrates, and also had as speakers Professors Kerry Carrington, Maria Puyol, Camila Magalhães Gomes and Samira Bueno.
