The course Gender and Law promoted by the Magistrate School of Rio de Janeiro held on May 27th a class on the struggle of Brazilian women for their rights in the 1988 Constitution, presented by Jacqueline Pitanguy, and on their participation in the international arena, presented by Sonia Correia. Issues related to the architecture of women’s human rights and gender identities and the interface between national and international activism were discussed, with the coordination of Judge Adriana Ramos de Melo and Leila Barsted.
