On March 24th, the National Forum of Judges of Domestic and Family Violence against Women – FONAVID, promoted a live stream “The Participation of Feminist Movements in the 1988 National Constituent Assembly”, which featured as keynote speaker Leila Linhares Barsted, from CEPIA, which recalled the struggle of Brazilian women for the conquest of rights, the process of redemocratization with the creation of the State Councils and the National Council for Women’s Rights and the demands for rights presented in the historical document represented in the Letter of Women to the Constituents. Leila showed her concern about the dangers of setbacks in the current Brazilian political context.
