CEPIA starts the year 2021 with the launch of the Manual Habilidades para a Vida: Competências Psicossociais para Adolescentes e Jovens Protagonistas (Manual Skills for Life: Psychosocial Skills for Adolescents and Young Leaders).

This Manual was developed based on studies and learning resulting from workshops held by CEPIA throughout the year 2020 involving adolescents, young people and teachers.

We hope that it will contribute to the instrumentalization of the most diverse social actors such as adolescents, educators (s), family members and community leaders, working to combat violence, racism, gender inequalities, and also, to promote youth leadership. And the empowerment of girls and boys, allowing them to build their life projects. We also hope that, in the context of isolation imposed by Covid-19 and the need for  resilience, the 10 life skills presented throughout the Manual  contribute to better respond to the challenges and opportunities imposed by this reality.

This Handbook is the third in a series of three volumes, launched in 2020:  Manual de Ideias e Atividades: Metodologia Ativa para o Trabalho com Adolescentes e Jovens (Handbook of Ideas and Activities: Active Methodology for Working with Adolescents and Youth)  and Manual de Ferramentas Criativas: Atividades sobre Puberdade (Handbook of Creative Tools: Puberty Activities).

CEPIA was based on the 10 Life Skills listed by the World Health Organization (WHO) as fundamental in promoting the mental health of children and adolescents and for their full development.
