The 9th edition of the Training of Trainers: empowerment and political participation of women was held from the 16th to the 25th of November. This is an annual initiative of CEPIA in partnership with Women’s Learning Partnership for Rights Development and Peace (WLP). In its first online version, the Training brought together, for four days, women from different regions of the country, for a national training focused on horizontal leadership, advocacy, political participation and violence. Digital security, as well as climate justice, were also addressed in this edition of the training.

The meetings was facilitated by CEPIA’s team, represented by Andrea Romani, Debora Pinheiro, Debora Silva, Karla Oldane and Mariana Barsted. Jacqueline Pitanguy and Leila Barsted participated addressing topics related to advocacy, political participation and violence and intersectionality.

Participants from other editions of the training facilitated sessions and shared their experiences reinforcing the purpose of this anual training of,  not only improving skills and knowledge of the participants, but also of strengthening a national network of women engaged on women’s empowerment and leadership.
