As of August, the Federal Supreme Court (STF) will be able to vote on a fundamental agenda for advancing the decriminalization of abortion in Brazil. ADPF 442 requests that abortion performed by pregnant woman’s will cease to be considered a crime until the 12th week of pregnancy.
To help qualify journalistic coverage of this historic moment for the country, the coalition of human rights and health organizations, of which CEPIA is a part, invited journalists to an online meeting Abortion at the STF: Shall we talk about it? 07/27. The event featured the presentation of data and arguments from specialists in the legal and health areas.
In the end, the participating journalists received an unprecedented mini-dossier on the subject and a file of qualified sources.
