The Fluminense Forum More Women in Politics held, on July 14th, another meeting to discuss the change in the electoral law that, among other setbacks, will decrease women’s representation in the National Congress. The PL foresees that only in 2028 will women have 30% of the representation in Parliament. Leila lInhares Barsted, representing CEPIA, is a member of the Forum and was present in this meeting. About this PL, it is important to read and debate the text by Teresa Sacchet, Clara Araújo, Ligia Fabris, and Michelle Ferreti It sounds like an achievement, but it’s not: political reform and women’s rights.
