The Women’s Commission of the Brazilian Bar Association – ABA, promoted, on July 14th, the webnary “Gender Issues & Tax Law” to discuss the major impact of taxation on women, a theme still little discussed by law professionals. In this event the gender inequalities were pointed out, both in the tributary legislation and in the taxation system of products, most of which are exclusively targeted to women. Women bear double taxation, both in relation to these products and in actions in the area of family and social security law. Leila Linhares Barsted and Mariana Barsted participated in this event.
