The Follow-up Mechanism of the Inter-American Convention to Prevent, Punish and Eradicate Violence against Women – MESECVI, of the Organization of American States – OAS, held, on June 9th, the webinar Third MESECVI Follow-up Report – An Intersectional Look at the Eradication of Violence against Women and Girls, prepared by its Committee of Experts – CEVI, within the framework of the 27th anniversary of this Convention. At this event, the Chair of the Committee of Experts presented comparative data between the States Parties to the OAS on progress, gaps and challenges with regard to legislation, national plans, access to justice, statistical data and budgetary resources necessary for the faithful fulfillment of this Convention. Leila Linhares Barsted, Member of the Expert Committee, participated in this event.
