The Paraná Bar Association, CEJIL and CLADEM promoted, on December 2nd, the Webinar Access to Justice and Gender Stereotypes. Leila Linhares Barsted, from CEPIA, participated as an exhibitor discussing the various difficulties encountered by women in gaining access to justice, including prejudices of race and ethnicity, social class, sexual orientation, among others, and the persistent use of gender stereotypes present in the institutions of justice which ends up revitimizing women. The importance of CEDAW Recommendation No. 33 on the issue of women’s access, in their diversity, to justice and the elimination of gender stereotypes was highlighted.
