On August 14, Jornal da Cultura (TV Cultura) presented an news on the Brazilian government authorities’ disrespect for women that resulted in a legal Action by the General Attorney’s Office forcing the Union to carry out campaigns to repair the damage caused to women by the prejudiced statements of the President and of some of his ministers. Jacqueline Pitanguy (CEPIA), who was interviewed to comment on the situation, stated “The leader is the depository of a vote of confidence of the population,  what he says has a large impact on the population so, he must be more responsible about what he says and the words he uses … the repercussion is immediate”.
