The publication The New Challenges of Political Responsibility was organized by Jacqueline Pitanguy and Adriana Mota, from CEPIA.
The Civil Society Forum of the Americas is an autonomous space of critical reflection where members of civil society organizations – with diverse objectives and agendas – share experiences, design strategies and elaborate new forms of action in order to face common challenges.
The Forum was created in 1997, in a meeting held in Rio de Janeiro and attended by NGO representatives from different countries in the region. Its mission is to advance social justice, equity, and solidarity by encouraging the participation of civil society organizations in the formulation of public policy in the region.
This publication took place in 2005. Since October 2000 CEPIA has served as executive secretary of the Civil Society Forum of the Americas.
