On March 10th Jacqueline Pitanguy represented CEPIA at the Maternal Mortality Commission meeting held at the Municipal Health Department, to analyse the rates and causes of maternal mortality in Rio de Janeiro and propose measures to guarantee safe pregnancy and birth delivery to the diminish the current very high rates of MM of approximately 70 per 100 thousand.
