Between March 27th and 29th, the Brazilian Academy of Sciences organized, at the Museum of Tomorrow, a conference focused on strategies for implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with the participation of scientists from different countries. CEPIA, represented by Jacqueline Pitanguy, participated in the table on Inequality and difference, tensions and complementarities, in which she drew a history of unequal legislations and policies for women and the affirmative actions and legislations that, after the 1988 Constitution, allowed a plateau of greater equality within the feminist motto “Different, but not unequal”.
