On September 23rd, the Maria da Penha Law Consortium held an online meeting with various feminist organizations to present and debate the first draft of the proposed General Law on Gender Violence against Women. The meeting, coordinated by Leticia Ferreira, from the Tamo Juntas Group in Bahia, included a presentation by Leila Linhares Barsted, representing CEPIA, on the main points of the proposed General Law. The various contributions presented at the debate will be sent by the organizations present and will be put together for a new draft to be drawn up by the Consortium.
