On September 30th, CEPIA facilitated the closing of the cycle of workshops at Baden Powell Municipal Public School. Throughout the 5 meetings there were several dynamics involving the following themes: Life skills, Sexual education, internet safety, confronting violence and racism. Kézia Sampaio, with the participation of CEPIA´s collaborator Luan Ferreira facilitated the workshops. They considered that the result of the meetings was very positive through the exchange of experiences and expansion of knowledge. The workshops promoted a lot of dialogue with the teenagers and an opportunity to deepen some topics of great interest to the class. At the last session a collective snack was offered and it was also an opportunity to start planning a follow up activity that will have the teenagers as multipliers of their learning during the meetings with other students at the School.
One of the students commented “I’m happy to be able to participate in another cycle of workshops with you. I want more. It was really cool to participate in this cycle. We’ve already talked about this topic, but it’s different talking to you, about sexual education, who are close to our age.”
