On September 25th, CEPIA, represented by Leila Linhares Barsted and Mariana Barsted, participated in the event Gender, Intersectionalities and Safe Cities, organized by Julia Poletine, founder of the NGO I Want to Tell, which offers a safe space for survivors of gender violence to share their stories, and was supported by the British Consulate. The purpose of the meeting was to promote the strengthening of the network of feminist and anti-racist organizations and connect them with the British Consulate, which has strongly supported projects focused on gender issues.

Present were representatives of the organizations ITDP Brasil, Mapa do Acolhimento, the Public Defender’s Office, the Institute of Black Jurists, the Rio de Janeiro State Public Prosecutor’s Office / OAB-RJ’s Commission for Studies on Intersectional Discrimination, the Institute for Overcoming Domestic Violence, the Justiceiras Project, the Mama Thula Institute, the Niterói Women’s Secretariat and FGVRio.
