June 12th is the international and national day to combat child labor. Alarming data from IBGE says that in 2022 Brazil had 1, 9 million child up to 17 years old in child labor situation. Sexual exploitation is among the worst types of child labor. CEPIA on a joint initiative with FEPETI/RJ (State Forum to Prevent Child Labor and to Protect adolescent worker) held the event Invisible childhoods: scenarios and challenges in struglleing agaisn tchild labor. The event, held on June 17th,  gathered representatives of various governmental and non governamental organizations from various municipalities of Rio de Janeiro to debate strategies to respond to this alarming situation.
