Journalist Mara Regia, ahead of the Radio Program Viva Maria interviewed Jacqueline Pitanguy on the occasion of the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the launch of Simone de Beauvoir’s book, The Second Sex, considered a fundamental book in the sense of providing the theoretical basis for feminism, anticipating the concept of gender. Jacqueline highlighted the depth of this book, with historical, anthropological, religious and cultural arguments that seek to understand why over the centuries women are placed as the other, in relation to men and are not defined by themselves but rather as otherness.
