The Women’s Learning Partnership and the UNFPA Asia/Pacific Regional Office held a meeting on April 11 entitled A Dialogue on Values: Reforming Family Laws and Policies, with the participation of representatives of the UN Population Fund in several countries of this region. Topics such as the role of cultural and religious traditions in family codes and reproductive rights, the role of activists in reforming family laws, among other topics, were addressed. The event included, among others, the participation of Mahnaz Afkhami, President of WLP, Jacqueliine Pitanguy and Madhavi Sunder, members of the Board of Directors of WLP.
