The Mechanism to Follow-up the Convention to Prevent, Punish and Eradicate Violence against Women – Convention of Belém do Pará (MESECVI), the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the Centro de Intercambio y Servicios Cono Sur Argentina (CISCSA) and the local Colectiva Feminista para el Desarrollo, in the framework of the Initiative “Prevent Gender-Based Violence: Experiencias y aprendizajes en América Latina y el Caribe Hispano (2010-2020)“, held on September 30th, the seminar Political Dialogue on Preventing Gender-Based Violence (GBV) which aimed to present to international organizations the results of the regional study on “Lo que funciona y lo que no funciona para prevenir las VBG” and to dialogue on the challenges and recommendations for our Region.
Leila Linhares Barsted, as a member of the MESECVI Committee of Experts – CEVI, participated as a guest in this event, which was also attended by Ana Falú, from CISCSA and Morena Herrera, from La Colectiva Feminista para el Desarrollo Local. This initiative is associated with the Spotlight Regional Programe of the United Nations System and the European Union.
