Criar Brasil and the Rio de Janeiro Journalists Union, with the support of Heinrich Böll Foundation, held, on September 13th, the Seminar Against Hate and Disinformation.
Leila Linhares Barsted and Fabiana Pinto, from Marielle Franco Institute, participated as speakers on the theme Roots and Consequences of Disinformation and Hate: the role of organized civil society, highlighting how misogyny and racism, historically present in Brazilian society, have intensified, in society and in public institutions, encouraged by speeches and actions of State representatives.
