CEPIA was present at G20Social, following and participating in some of the more than 200 self-managed activities that took place between the 14th and 15th of November at Praça Mauá, in Rio de Janeiro, an event that preceded the G20 bringing urgent agendas to the G20 agenda such as poverty, the climate crisis, women’s economic autonomy, gender-based political violence, among other topics.
Solidarity kitchens and agroecology was the event promoted by the Rio de Janeiro Solidarity Kitchens Forum that took place on November 14th, bringing together representatives of solidarity kitchen initiatives from different regions in a debate on the role of solidarity kitchens in combating hunger in the territories and combating environmental racism. Daniela Lopes, Director of the Forum and long-time partnerships at CEPIA, was the mediator of the meeting, which also included the participation of Cyntia Mattos, representing Casa ênio and also a long-time partner of CEPIA.
Uberization and the paths to domestic work was another powerful event that took place on November 15th, promoted by the Domestic Workers Association Tereza de Benguela, with Vitória Murta, member of the Association and former CEPIA training participant, as one of the organizers.
