The panel brought together judges from different states of the country, along with representatives from the CNJ, civil and military police, lawyers, prosecutors, public defenders, health professionals and social workers to discuss the challenges of effectively complying with the Maria da Penha Law.
The central theme of the meeting was the presentation of the CNJ’s National Risk Assessment Form, which aims to help judges assess and identify, in a technical way, factors that indicate the risk of women suffering any form of violence in domestic and family relationships. As in every edition of the Conference, a Declaration was produced setting out proposals for action to improve the National Judicial Policy to combat violence against women.
