On August 5, a virtual meeting was held called by Jacqueline Pitanguy and Maria José Rosado, from Catholics for Choice, bringing together a group of people from different backgrounds and professional activities who share the commitment to defending the democratic rule of law, human rights and sexual and reproductive rights. This group agreed on some joint strategies, in order to join forces in confronting attacks on the DSSR and democratic values, with particular attention to PL 1904/24. Andrea Romani, Denise Mascarenhas, Eva Blay, José Henrique Torres, Leila Barsted, Lucia Xavier, Lusmarina Garcia, Miriam Ventura and Silvia Pimentel also participated in this meeting.
