The Permanent Commission for Studies on Domestic Violence of the IERBB – Roberto Bernardes Barroso Education Institute of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the State of Rio de Janeiro, created with the aim of promoting courses, events and discussion of the Maria da Penha Law, held its first meeting on July 10th, when questions about violence against women and the protective measures of the Maria da Penha Law were debated, as well as proposals for courses and research. Leila Linhares Barsted is a member of this committee.
