Jacqueline Pitanguy was interviewed by Agência Brasil about Violence against Women and Feminicide. She highlighted that when analyzing the increasing number of feminicides, retrospectively, it is important to recognize the role of women’s struggles in give more visibility to this crime and in demand that it be classified as such on country’s registration systems. However, it can not be denied that we see an alarming increase in the number of this type of crime in Brazil.
