On November 21st, the School of Collective Health at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) held a class as part of the 7th edition of the Human Rights & Health Approaches Extension Course, coordinated by Prof. Miriam Ventura and with the support of CEPIA, among other institutions, with the aim of debating the role of activists, health and legal professionals in guaranteeing sexual and reproductive rights.

The speakers were Jacqueline Pitanguy, Leila Linhares Barsted and Lilia Blima Schraiber, who respectively addressed the topics Right to abortion and feminist advocacy in human rights and health, Violence against women interfaces with Justice and Security and Violence against women interfaces with Health. The Extension Course, which began in September 2023, has a national reach and includes participants from various Brazilian states.
