The As Josefinas Institute – Cultural and Social Productions, in partnership with CEPIA and WLP, started the training Promoting decision making – A training for leaders of black and peripheral women, which took place at the Quintal das Josefinas. The As Josefinas Institute provides training for women entrepreneurs from the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro and promotes Afro-Brazilian culture, working on three pillars: social entrepreneurship, self-care and culture.

The four workshops took place in November and December, involving 21 black and peripheral women from the ap5 region, which includes the areas of Bangu, Realengo, Campo Grande, Guaratiba and Santa Cruz.

The themes discussed were: developing self-esteem for leadership, communicating with others, creating partnerships and learning, and in the last workshop the participants organized themselves into groups and facilitated activities with the themes covered in this training.
