The mandate of city councilor Luciana Boiteaux held a ceremony in Rio de Janeiro’s City Council, in the Teotônio Vilela Plenary, to pay tribute to feminist organizations fighting for rights, with the presentation of motions to various women and organizations, from various fields, involved in this issue, including women from the fields of journalism, audio visual, as well as historical feminists.

The event took place on September 27th and among those honored were Leila Linhares Barsted and Jacqueline Pitanguy, who received a Motion of Recognition for their important role in the fight for abortion rights.
