In an interview with Veja Magazine with reporter Amanda Péchy, Jacqueline Pitanguy defends that motherhood should be a choice and not an imposition and remembers that three decades ago she wrote an article for Veja saying that politicians deal with this issue, especially abortion, as a hot potato and comments that, currently, one in seven Brazilian women who turn 40 has already had an abortion.
