On August 2nd, the Women’s Safety Commission of the State Council for Women’s Rights (CEDIM/RJ) held a meeting to discuss public policies aimed at women’s safety, with the presence of the Rio de Janeiro State Secretary for Women’s Rights. The meeting highlighted the problems that exist in various services in the state aimed at caring for women in situations of violence and the measures that have been taken by the Secretary. Leila Linhares Barsted, a member of the Commission, took part in this meeting.
