On June 26th, Leila Linhares Barsted and Jacqueline Pitanguy participated in the investiture of Judge Adriana Ramos de Mello as Associate Justice of the Rio de Janeiro State Court of Justice. In her inauguration speech, the new Judge, with great experience in the fight against gender violence against women, as head of the I Court of Domestic Violence and of the Permanent Forum of Domestic Violence of the School of Magistrature of the State of Rio de Janeiro, highlighted the still low representation of women in the Courts and her commitment with women’s human rights.
