The Center for the Defense of Women – NUDEM, of the Public Defender’s Office of the State of Rio de Janeiro, held on June 6th, another meeting of the series Nudem Invites to debate a thesis that is still very controversial in the judicial system and that directly implies in the preservation of the rights (and the lives) of women victims of violence: the legitimate defense of honor. Participating in this event were public defender and Coordinator of Comulher Flávia Nascimento, Leila Linhares Barsted, lawyer, professor emeritus of EMERJ and executive coordinator of CEPIA and jurist and professor Soraia Mendes.
