The event Do it nicely – protect our children and adolescents is being organized by the Municipal Council for the Rights of Children and Adolescents (CMDCA-Rio) and by the Municipal Social Assistance Secretariat. It addes to the various initiatives that take place throughout the month of May to mark May 18, the National Day to Combat Sexual Violence against Children and Adolescents. CEPIA, along with other organizations, is part of the group co organizing the event that will take place on May 30th in the afternoon at the Public Defender’s Office auditorium.
The event takes an intersectional approach at the situation of sexual violence against adolescents, with panels that address the situation of sexual violence against adolescents with disabilities, against black adolescents, against indigenous adolescents and against trans adolescents.
