From May 13th to 16th, the Women’s Learning Partnership (WLP) held the Global Training of Trainers Institute for Democracy Development, hosted by its partner in Morocco, the Association Démocratique des Femmes du Maroc  (ADFM). The Institute  took place in Marrakech and brought together WLP Global facilitators with the aim of expanding and sharing skills and facilitation techniques on topics related to the promotion of democratic culture and women’s human rights. It also sought to bring themes related to climate justice and digital citizenship closer to debates on democratic culture and the role of women.

Representatives of WLP partner organizations from different countries including Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Mozambique, Nigeria, Pakistan participated in the meeting. CEPIA, which is part a partner organization of WLP, also joined the Institute and was represented by Andrea Romani, who is also part of  WLP’s regional coordination.
