The National Council of Justice – CNJ promoted, in Brasilia, April 18th and 19th, the Seminar Human Dignity – Promotion of Human Rights and the Protection of Diversities and Vulnerabilities in Policies and Programs of the CNJ. The Seminar addressed the promotion and protection of the Human Rights of vulnerable groups, meeting the goals of the National Pact of the Judiciary for Human Rights, the National Pact of the Judiciary for Racial Equity, as well as the Recommendations, Resolutions and other Policies of the National Council of Justice on the subject.
This Seminar was attended by Minister Rosa Weber (President of the Supreme Federal Court of Justice and National Council of Justice), Minister Sonia Guajara, from the Ministry of Indigenous Peoples, Ministers and Justices representing the Superior Court of Justice, the Ministry of Human Rights and Citizenship and the Ministry of Racial Equality, among other authorities.
Leila Linhares Barsted participated as one of the speakers of the Panel on Women’s Human Rights and highlighted the issues of gender violence, the law of parental alienation and ADPF 442 highlighting the need for the Supreme Federal Court of Justice to recognize the right of women to terminate pregnancy.
