Leila Linhares Barsted was interviewed by the Reporter Rio Program, from TV Brasil, about the most recent changes in the Maria da Penha Law, such as the speeding up of protective measures through Law 1604/22 and the introduction of psychological violence as a crime under Article 147-B of the Penal Code through Law 14.132/2021, which inserted in the Brazilian Penal Code the article 147-B that brings the figure of the crime of psychological violence against women with similar wording to that already included in the Maria da Penha Law since 2006.
