CEPIA, along with the Orlando Villas Boas Public High School, invited the students to share their ideas of key topics that they want to be addressed in the school. Based on the inputs from the various students, on March 20th, CEPIA started a series of weekly workshops called Straight talk: citizenship and rights with 8th grade students. The first workshop aimed to get to know the group, to introduce CEPIA’s work and to better understand their expectations about the topics chosen that included: racism, religion and life projects. The workshop was facilitated by Débora Pinheiro, Kézia Sampaio and Gabriel Brandão.
