CEPIA joins in the tributes to Nair Jane who represents the struggle of domestic workers for the recognition of their labor rights. Nair worked since she was a little girl as a domestic worker, at the same time that she was engaged in the organization of the Association of Domestic Workers, in its transformation into a union. Along with other leaders, she played a fundamental role in the Constituent Assembly, also acting at a regional level in the Latin American Confederation of Domestic Workers.

CEPIA feels honored to have Nair in its Assembly of Associates and was represented by Jacqueline Pitanguy and Leila Barsted in this homage, where she was greeted by Edna Calheiros and Hildete Pereira de Melo.
