On January 16th , the Maria da Penha Law Consortium met with several feminist organizations and networks to present and debate the initial report of its work toward the elaboration of a proposal for a General Law on Gender Violence for Brazil.
In the occasion, Leila Linhares Barsted presented a synthesis of the legislation of several Latin American countries that already have general laws.
