On August 26th , CEPIA’s team, represented by Kézia Sampaio, Débora Garcia, Gabriel Brandão and Mariana Barsted, was at the Henrique Dodsworth Municipal School, working with the 9th grade, with the workshop Political Participation, what does this have to do with Youth?
The proposal of this workshop was to make students reflect on what they understand by political participation, this being an action that goes beyond the idea of political party, bringing as examples the participation of young people in student councils, in social movements and in social spaces that the youth occupy.
Since 2017, CEPIA has been developing workshops at the Henrique Dodsworth Municipal School, reinforcing a series of themes that CEPIA considers fundamental for young people to take up ownership of, such as human rights, youth leadership, power relations, non-violent communication, prevention of violence against girls and women, development of life skills as advocated by the World Health Organization (WHO), from an intersectional perspective.
23 adolescents attended this workshop!
