Debating human rights, recognizing their advances and losses is fundamental to defending citizenship rights and democracy.

The Institute for Advanced Studies at the University of São Paulo (IEA/USP) promotes, on June 30 at 2 pm, the online event The importance of Reconstruction of Human Rights Policies in Brazil.

The meeting, moderated by Paulo Endo (IEA-USP) will have the participation of individuals who were in charge of human rights bodies:

Paulo de Tarso Vannuchi, Minister of State of the Special Secretariat for Human Rights of the Presidency of the Republic (2006-2011),

Jacqueline Pitanguy, President of the National Council for Women’s Rights (1986-1989)

Eleonora Menicucci, Chief Minister of the Secretariat for Policies for Women (2012-2016)

Paulo Sérgio Pinheiro, National Secretary for Human Rights (2001-2003)
