On May 23, the Municipal Plan to Combat Sexual Violence against Children and Adolescents (PMEVSCA) will be launched. This Plan was the result of a joint effort involving representatives of governmental and non-governmental organizations, including CEPIA, represented by Andrea Romani, who was part of the responsible technical team.
The Plan’s objective is to prevent and combat sexual violence against children and adolescents in the Municipality of Rio de Janeiro (MRJ), at the family, community and institutional levels, through joint and articulated strategies and actions. It is structured in 3 strategic axes: Prevention, Attention and Defense and Accountability and three transversal axes: Communication and Social Mobilization, Studies and Research and Participation and Protagonism.
On the occasion of the launch, adolescents and young people will share their vision on each of the Plan’s axes and a Commitment Protocol will be signed by the municipal government for its implementation.
