During the month of November, the Training and Capacity Building in Women’s Political Participation takes place weekly, being developed by CEPIA in a joint initiative with UNFPA and the Women’s Learning Partnership (WLP).
The training is open to women in their diversity and has as participants Brazilian and Portuguese-speaking African participants in a perspective of exchanging experiences and knowledge on issues related to gender and power, gender political violence, legal framework and leadership and communication strategies to broaden the presence of women inside and outside political parties.
The first session, with the theme of Woman and Power, had as speakers the municipal council for the legislative assembly of Rio de Janeiro Thais Ferreira and the professor and researcher Maria Luiza Heilborn.
The second meeting, Legal Framework, was attended by regional attorney Silvana Batini, the municipal council for the legislative assembly Tainá de Paula and lawyer Ligia Fabris.
