Jacqueline Pitanguy was interviewed by the Yahoo Platform on Women and Crime. Jacqueline drew attention to the fact that the largest portion of women in prisons is poor, black and accounts for drug trafficking and that even if these transgressor women break a cultural pattern of domesticity, in general, they transgress from affective involvement with men who occupy superior hierarchical positions in crime. This pattern is clear in the case of  Nayane (Hello Kitty), her father’s right-hand man, head of drug trafficking in a locality in Rio de Janeiro and killed by the police, and of Lorraine (Cracolandia’s girl) arrested in São Paulo, and involved with a drug dealer.
