CEPIA is part of a regional initiative of NGOs committed to women’s reproductive rights, including access to legal and safe abortion. The NGOs meet periodically, with the support of the IPPF/WHR, to exchange experiences, information from the local and international context and to strengthen each other in their advocacy actions. Andrea Romani and Jacqueline Pitanguy participate at these virtual meetings.
Based on a survey with the organisations that belong to this initiative a regional panorama of skills to advocate for women’s reproductive rights was presented by IPPF on June 26th . And, on July 28th, an overview of the expertise, opportunities and challenges of different organizations was presented.
