This important event, organized by the Institute of Advanced Studies of the University of São Paulo
– IEA USP, brought together on May 14th, 6 women who held, as Presidents of the National Council for the Rights of Women or Ministers of the Secretariat of Policies for Women, positions of public policy managers for women during different democratic governments, from 1986 to 2016. During these 40 years, such policies were guided by the principles of gender equality, respect for the human rights of women in their diversity and the secularity of the State.

Jacqueline Pitanguy, Rosiska Darcy de Oliveira, Emilia Fernandes, Iriny Lopes, Eleonora Menicucci and Nilma Lino Gomes, former Presidents and Ministers, participated in this event and launched a Manifesto on the threats to the rights of women under way in the current government.
