On March 23rd, CEPIA was present at the international webinar “Resistance and feminist solidarity around the world”, represented by Mariana Barsted. This event is the second international webinar organized by the World March of Women and by the Capire portal to connect, make visible and discuss the struggles waged on the International Women’s Day. Women from different regions of the world contributed perspectives for a feminist, anti-capitalist and anti-racist agenda to face this global context of pandemic, neoliberalism and inequalities.

The event had the mediation of Graça Samo, from Mozambique, and the speech of the feminists: Bushra Khaliq, from Paquistan, Women in Struggle for Empowerment (WISE); Solange Koné, from Ivory Coast, Urban Health Self-Promotion Support Association (ASAPSU);Ruba Odeh, from Palestine, representing the Middle East and North Africa (MENA); Vânia Martins, from Portugal, International Committee of the World March of Women; Mafalda Galdames, from Chile, Member of the International Committee of the World March of Women.
