The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) launched, on December 10, the Platform Women Safety, which aims to inform, strengthen networks and facilitate women’s access to services to prevent gender-based violence against women and girls. The project is supported by the Canada Fund and the  the Netherlands’ Funds.

This innovative project started this year, with the challenges and obstacles that worsened in the pandemic, such as, for example, the difficulty of women to follow up with complaints, ask for help in a context of social isolation and of  restriction on the number of service available to assist women’s victims of VAW. The months showed that the challenges still exist and that empowering women is essential.

CEPIA is a partner in this initiative and was responsible for producing a tutorial on “online violence”, which can be accessed here: https://mulhersegura.org/repositorio.
